NEWS: BARR. OBAS EKEINDE WELCOMES HIS EXCELLENCY GOVERNOR GODWIN OBASEKI TO THE PEOPLE’S DEMOCRATIC PARTY (PDP)

 A Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and House Of Representative Aspirant of the Party in the last election, Barr. Obas Ekeinde has on behalf of Himself and the Entire Members of the Party in Owan Federal Constituency joyfully welcomed His Excellency Governor Godwin Obaseki and His Deputy, Comrade Phillip Shuaibu to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). 

In a statement released by His Support Group, Barr. Obas Ekeinde who was also the House Of Representative Candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the 2015 general Elections saluted the courage the Governor has employed in making this all important and necessary decision to pitch His Tent with the Reformed People’s Democratic Party (PDP) that promotes equality by providing a level playing field for all members, and has high regards for Democratic Values. 

The Abuja based Barrister stated that He is particularly delighted by the inclusion of the Governor because He knows the Governor to be a Technocrat who has performed reasonably well as Governor of Edo State even in the face of the serious distractions and strict opposition posed by the Leadership of His former party for putting the general interest of Edo People above that of the party and its selfish Leadership.

The well respected Leader of the Party in Owan Federal Constituency is optimistic that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) will afford Governor Godwin Obaseki the necessary support He needs to Function maximally in order to deliver on His electoral promises to the People of Edo State now that He has come to align His political ideology with that of the Party.

The Honourable, who equally happens to be a well known Grassroots Mobiliser in His Constituency has also assured The Governor that Himself and His teeming Supporters across the Constituency will do all that is within their means both as party faithfuls and well meaning Sons and Daughters of Edo State to ensure that His Victory is sustained at the Polls if He emerges the Candidate of the Party in the Primaries that’s is slated for Thursday the 25th of June, 2020.
